TEAM : Yujeong Bae, Minji Yoouk, Hyena Lee
When we first met, we had all studied about circuits individually and came up with three ideas. This week's homework focused on how to create an input switch with a story that makes the LED light up as an output. Our ideas were diverse.
<aside> 💡 Ideas
All of us in our team were Korean and had recently come to the United States to study, so we shared the common experience of moving from Korea to the unfamiliar United States. Therefore, we chose an idea that would represent this transition using LED lights.
To realize this idea, we used LED lights, wires, resistors, a multimeter, a wire stripper, a breadboard, a 9V battery connector, a 9V battery, an Uno Arduino, aluminum foil, insulation tape, soldering, a human figurine, and illustrations of the departure and arrival from Korea and the United States.
& Attempts
Since we needed two switches to represent New York and Korea, we had to set up a circuit where the middle wire would activate both the left and right LEDs. Below are the circuit setup and lessons learned from the experiment.
